1. The Platform

BrokenGadgets.in is a peer-to-peer marketplace connecting people who have spare earbuds or gadget parts with people who need them. We are a facilitator — we are not the buyer or seller in any transaction.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in India to use the platform. By signing in you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Seller Obligations

• List only items you own and have the right to sell.
• Accurately describe condition (grade, defects, battery health).
• Ship within 48 hours of a confirmed order with the prepaid label provided.
• Do not list counterfeit, stolen, or non-functional items unless clearly stated as "For Parts".

4. Buyer Obligations

• Pay via the escrow system only. Direct payments to sellers are not protected.
• Confirm or dispute receipt within 48 hours of delivery. Silence after 48 hours releases payment to the seller automatically.
• Do not misuse the dispute system to avoid legitimate payments.

5. Escrow & Payments

All payments are processed by Razorpay and held in escrow until the buyer confirms delivery and successful pairing. The platform fee is 5% of the sale price, deducted before release to the seller. Disputes are reviewed within 3 business days.

6. Prohibited Items

Items that are illegal, export-controlled, hazardous (e.g. swollen batteries), or misrepresented are prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension.

7. Liability

BrokenGadgets.in is not liable for losses arising from buyer/seller disputes beyond the escrow amount held. Our maximum liability is the transaction value.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
